I think I'm going to take a hit on the insurance though. I'm hoping that since it was the other guys fault, I can hit up his insurance for at least 90% of the price for the Limited. Especially if I don't sue for pain and suffering.
Anyone ever had to do something like this after their bike was totaled? I had about $8K in upgrades and add ons on my bike.

Rather sue or not, one way or another the other persons insurance is paying for the new ride. In case you've not already talked to someone who SPECIALIZE IN MOTROCYCLE ACCIDENTS, please do. Our in house council and the guy in his firm who does injury cases helped, but we decided to call anyway...made a difference between my insurance paying 30k towards 50k in hospital and docs, and paying 100k.
