Default Running heated gear and gps at same time?

Is it possible to run a set of Gerbings gloves and jacket liner and a zumo at the same time? I know the batwings have aux buttons to run accessories. How would this be done on a road king? Not wanting to use the battery in the zumo or the Gerbings.

I think the Gerbings run off the batt tender connection.

there is a spare unused connector tied to your headlight plug ( on US models)- lots of riders use that for a gps or phone.

there is an AUX plug under the seat ( on all touring models), if not comfortable with wiring your own stuff, the dealer sells wiring kits

and as you note, some use the tender connector to run accessories- just check the fusing

I've run a GPS, jacket, gloves and listened to music on phone while charging it. But I got direct wire to battery for heated gear, an accessory plug on right access panel turned on by accessory switch and plug phone into cigaret lighter. Wires running EVERYWHERE. Takes 10 minutes to get on or off.

Gerbing does not recommend running their gear off tender plug. Says it might get hot. I looked at it close and think it's just a CYA on their part. It looks heavy enough to handle two items at least. It might get hot it you had pants and shoe inserts too.

DO NOT use the tender plug for heated gear, the wires are too thin on the tender plug.the heated gear comes with a pigtail that runs direct from the battery, gps can go to the aux plug under the seat or the unused yellow wire near the headlight.im using 2 jacket liners gps 1 pair gloves and an amp on the stereo.

The Gerbing site has all the info you need to know how to hook them up. Many Battery Tender harnesses are much too light, and too low of fuse. Your Gerbings, pulling 15 plus amps, depending on what you are wearing...(gloves, liner, pants, etc) comes with a heavy duty harness....why not use it!? You can then use it to run your measly 1.25 amp Battery Tender.

Battery Tender on left, Gerbings on right. check the fuse color.....

I just checked the Gerbing site, and I take back what I just posted. They have completely changed their site, and it now looks to be the most confusing piece of crap on the internet. Motorcycle heated gear isn't even mentioned, that I could find.

http://www.gerbing.com/

I no longer can find any info on the site about wattage or amp draw.
