Default ABS Light stays on, Help

A friend of mine just bought a 2007 Police bike Saturday. He rode it and put about 300 miles on it when now the ABS light stays on. He has done nothing but ride it and I am wondering where do you start to troubleshoot? Is there a way to tell if it is the sensor?Any help is appreciated, Thanks

I would start with the wires leading to each wheel, see if one of them has broken.

The abs light stays on when ridding the scoot? As they blink when under a few mph when first started.

At least thats the way it was on my 08 and 12

The repair manual will tell you how to pull codes.

Also check the fuse. Mine also stays on all the time, because it doesn't work anyway, so I pulled the fuse but the light stays on all the time.

Call a dealer and ask. A bike with no abs brakes may do that. On of the biggest law suits in Harley history was over the light. Someone thinging they have ABS brakes and did'nt because of the light. Think there is a theard about it.

My 2009 quit working one time....I took it to the dealership under warranty. They did some of the "ign switch ON, lt turn signal, right turn signal..ign switch to accy....both turn signals.....that fixed it til I got home. Took it back the following week. They "found" a broken wire....that fixed it until the warranty ran out two months later. This was the 1st bike I had with ABS. I kind of figure it is as good as the ones I had without it.

Just out the blue, I accidently put my front wheel on backwards one time. (After a long day working on the front end and a few adult beverages), When I got on the bike next day,,,,,Yeah next day, my ABS light came on and would not go out no matter what I did until I realized the wheel was on wrong. I know there is a lesson in there somewhere but I can't find it. I put the wheel back on correctly, and WHALA! ABS light went out. It was like magic, I don't knowhow that happened. Maybe it has to be on correctly, and wait until after the work to partake of the adult beverages.

Actually my recollection is the Motor Company tested ABS 1-2 years before they brought it to us greasy ole Biker civilians. And why the bike actually has it.
