My 2002 ultra shuts off when hot. After riding 100 miles it will shut and will not start until it cools. The tech replaced the efi relay but the problem is still here.

 

I would check for ignition spark after it gets warm and shuts off. I'm leaning toward you having a faulty crank sensor.

 

does it just quit while riding or won't restart after being shut down?

 

Just a thought, but...

Could it be an intermittent "open electrical circuit" (perhaps at the battery, or perhaps a ground strap)?

That is, bike is cold, the connection is good, bike gets hot, the connection "opens up"?

When it's hot, and you turn the ignition on, what happens next?
Lights? No lights?
Anything?
