Default Lower fairing pockets, what goes in there?

I got the lower fairings for my SGS and they really look good and love the wind deflection. But what can a guy store in the fairing pockets? Mine are cool the way they pop open but don't lock so cant really store anything? I use one for my phone (the dash place for my phone is pretty tight and awkward to get the phone In and out of )

Maybe I will run the phone usb cord down to the right pocket? thxs for any idea, paul

I use mine for two one-quart bottles of Gatorade on long rides. Otherwise I use them for nothing.

I installed the lowers on my RK a couple weeks ago for riding during the cooler months. I have the locking doors. I stash an extra pair of gloves, sun glasses and a half mask in one pocket. The other I use for my phone, wallet, keys and garage door opener. Sometimes I carry snacks there on longer trips.

I keep a cargo net in one pocket and a disk lock in the other.

Some people use them for additional speakers.

I have the magnetic doors on mine and I usually keep some extra key fob batteries and some clean wash cloths in the LH side for gas spilling on my tank at fill-ups and in the RH side I keep my flex cord for my boom mic and a rain cover for my A/C.

If you're planning on using them a lot, be sure that you have the "liners", else whatever you have in there will be soggy and also perhaps moldy.

I found a pretty complete first aid kit at REI that would fit into one of the compartments. Nice to have, so far haven't used it for myself, but have patched up a couple of minor injuries on other folks I have encountered. And on that same idea, I keep the other side stuffed with latex gloves, for working on bike, or helping patch up strangers...

I keep a cleaning rag or two in the left pocket. While on a trip I keep the disk brake lock in there also.

The right pocket is usually empty. On trips I remove the right side cover and use the pocket for my water bottle. Haven’t lost one yet. I have a drink holder for the left handle bar but find the lower right pocket handier.

I wired my right one up for my MP3 player, also I stash a disk lock in there.
Left side, rolled up bungy cords that I use to tie a bag or two down on the back seat to the passenger grab handles, also long leather shoe laces to tie things onto the luggage rack on the tour pac.
