Default cam install

Had se255 installed the other day. Made great difference in tq. I can actually pass in 6th gear now. I have a 2009 ultra 96'', stage 1 vance head pipe 4'' rhineharts. The power and sound are just right for me. just my 2cents worth.

Take care
Dave

Also had mine done along with a dyno tune and a se supertuner installed. Been rainy here so I haven't had much of a chance to ride. Like it so far.

my stock SG did not pass well in 6th so I added the SEPST tuner. now it passes very well. did you tune your bike before the cam install?
what other differences do you see with the 255

255/andrews48 are a great choice for heavy baggers looking for more grunt in the low rpms. My torque peaks at 2400 rpms and stays flat out past 5,000.

I hear ya. Cams make all the difference for a 6-speed. My bike was totally transformed after I installed the Andrews 57H grind. Couldn't be any happier.

I've been thinking about the SE255 while its in for my 50k service that's coming up. What did it cost you? Do you have a tuner? Did you dyno it? I have pipes/stage one and I've been told ill need a tuner and dyno to get it right after the cam install.

They had a special 499 installed. I had the se race tuner already and had it put on dyno. I cant find my sheet but as far as power and sound it made big difference. They said being I had tuner I could of just got map but I went with dyno. For me money well spent.

Default se 255

2009 Ultra 96 - Rhineharts, PC V....had dyno'd before and after SE255 install.

67 hp before cam install and dyno
82 hp after cam install and dyno changing the map in the PCV.

Install cost me 700 from local indy.....

Hope this helps.

Thanks - sounds like great deal since the cam lists for over $300 (if I remember correctly) I'd have jumped on that deal too. I'll get a quote but I bet it'll set me back twice that figure.
