I'm asking cause I'm looking at trading my dyna for a streetglide, but if I wait another 12 months maybe they will update the motor again to bring it in line with the competition, or maybe slot a 110" motor in as standard??

Any thoughts on this?
I jus recently traded in my victory highball 106 - 2013. For a new 2014 SG. Best decision i ever made. The bigger number means nothing. My SG hands down has more torque and better handling that my highball that was tuned and had pipes. My SG is still stock. Don't let the 103 scare you off - it's more than enough. I'm 6'5" 250 lbs...

Harley HAS no competition.

If they did, they're customer service would be MUCH better than it is.

Just before I bought my 11 King, I test drove a 106" Vegas and it did nothing for me.

Would you buy a Harley Touring bike if they took a V-Rod engine punch it out to 1500 CC's and turn it for torque and hide the radiators in the lowers like the limited and the CVO's ? I think not, the point is how long will the air cooled engine be around. The EPA is going to be all over for the air cooled engines to run clean & lean around 2020 or so.

It just aint gonna float or be any real competiton for Harley. I would never judge the total worth of a motorcycle simply by power and frankly the new 103 is fine right out of the box.
I hope Victory didn't pay much for the Indian name, because like you say it really doesn't mean much the way it's been tossed around. My first bike as a kid was a so called Indian,it was a 100cc 2 stroke dirtbike, and what a clunker it was! I sat on a Victory cross country tour,it was comfortable but seemed cheap compared to a Harley, too much plastic.
