Default Service contract

Bought a used 2012 Ultra CVO from the stealer in July along with a service contract and esp.. Took it in for 10,000 service and was told 2 days. I called day 3 and they said they hoped to have it done by noon the next day. I bitched and it was done at 5:30 the 3rd day. Took it back to the same dealer for 3 small warranty items. (replace ipod connector, replace plastic ignition switch cover, and replace crooked CVO emblem on gas cap cover) Told me it would take an hour so I waited. 2 and a half hours later I asked them how much longer, service mangaer said, oops, sorry, your work order got put in the wrong box, we're starting on it now. I said just give me my bike. So, has anyone been able to get there money back and cancel there service contract? I live about 80 miles from this dealership and really dont want them to touch my bike again. Theres another dealer about 30 minutes from my house I'm going to go to for warranty.

With the extended service plan you can bring your bike to any dealer. It doesn't have to be the dealer that sold you the contract.

I bought a service contract too. Every 5000 miles they service the bike according to factory recomendations. Kinda wish I had my 06 Ultra back. I did all the services on that one.

Definitely a dealer issue, not an ESP issue. I'd try a different dealer first.

But yes, there is a way to cancel your ESP. Unfortunately, that means going back to the dealership you bought it from. Their F&I guy should be the one to go talk to about the cancellation. Should get a decent check back too depending on how long ago you signed up for it.

Yes I have one of those Stealers just do the street from me. I had a five year ESP with them in 05 for my EGC. There service department is so bad, I wouldn't take bicycle to them to have the chain adjusted. I canceled the plan, and they credited to my loan.

They guy is asking about canceling his "Service Contract" not his "Extended Warranty".

Not all dealerships will honor service contract purchased elsewhere. I have experenced this myself. Some dealers don't care for the service plan & don't even offer it at purchase unless you request it.
It just varys between dealers some will do 1000 mile service and every 5000 as suggested, some others will do 1000 mile service and every 2500 miles. Some don't like to be bothered with it if they can avoid it.

Might be a good idea to read the contract about cancellation.
