Default Changed air cleaner, but is this normal?

I have a 2013 flhx and changed AC to a PM Merc cleaner. Everything went together great. I had a SE heavy breather on my old Softail and didn't notice any sucking sounds. Should I be able to hear the PM breather sucking in air? It's not like there is a leak or squeal, but when I roll the throttle there is some sound coming from the AC. Maybe I need to change stock pipes before the next ride! Should I hear a change near the AC with this upgrade?

Yes. It will get much worse if you ever change cams.

I like that noise! Both my last two bikes had the SE Stage 1 AC and you got his cool "Snort" when rolling on the throttle. You are sucking in more air now.

I figured it was normal, but wasn't ready for it.

All engines are basically nothing more than air pumps. When you "pump" something a little sucking here or blowing there is normal. Mechanics 101.

Air noise is good...means motor is finally breathing, but make sure you adjust for this a/c swap...

Mine does that same thing. I was alarmed at first, then realized that is normal.
