Default J&M new shorty antennas

Has anyone bought the J&M brand replacement antennas for your Ultra yet? It looks like the same one works for either radio or CB at $39.95 each.

Their product works great and is good looking.

One thing to remember is that the shorter the antenna the shorter the reception. If you’re riding in a group and like to use the cb like we do you limit the range as to how far away you can hear them, I’m talking line of site, if you can see them you can hear them, but if you fall behind or get to far ahead out of site, reception is an issue. Others will be able to hear you transmit, but you wont hear them respond.

On the am/fm almost any size works due the output of the stations.

I have them. Haven't noticed any difference in radio and haven't used CB.

I also have them and don't notice any difference in CB or radio reception at all.

Go for it, they look better and are not in the way as bad as the stock whips.

Somebody mentioned that these are referred to as "loaded" antenna's, if u look closely there is a wire wrapped around the antenna, which increases the overall length.

Hey, i don't understand any of this, just repeating what i read.

And finally, they look and work great. I'm sure CB isn't the best that is possible, but it's better than having those whip antennas.

Get quite a few lookers, as they think it's the cheap auto store type, that hasn't worked for them before, explain where I bought them and that really work.

I purchased two shorty antenna's from Autozone for my Ultra. They are 13 inch and work just as good as the whip style do. There was no change with the CB either. There were $5 each and they just thread right down.

The eglidegoodies that they are selling now, are the J&M ones if I'm not mistaken.

Edit: that's what they shipped me when i ordered from eglidegoodies. These are the 18" they recommend for the Ultra
