Default Battery Tender Jr or full size?

I was going to order a battery tender since winter is about here and I want to make sure the battery lasts as long as possible. Of course HD wants $79 for their 1.25 amp charger or the Battery tender Jr is .750 amp and only $30. Is the Jr a good product and sufficient to keep our battery's in tip top shape or should I buy the full size battery tender? Thanks!

There are thousands of us here on the forum who have used Walmart's 25.00 tender for years. It turns on when it is needed and turns off when it is not needed. End of story.
I see where you live in Mesquite, Texas. Don't you ride every day down there? If so, you don't need no stinkin tender.

Unless you plan on parking it for an extended period, like 6 months or more.

Yes I'm in Texas but there are times I'll go 7 to 10 days without being able to ride in the winter due to rain on the weekends and just not wanting to get out after work during the week. Probably wouldn't have any problems starting the bike but figured it would be cheap insurance to keep the battery in optimal condition.

The "junior" is just fine. I keep two MC's and my truck fully charged with only one charger. I just rotate from one to another and it has worked great for several years.

I have both. Both work and do the same thing overnight, so no big deal. I like the Harley one because of the lights. It goes from showing need a charge (yellow) to a flashing green (almost charged) to a standby steady green. It basically shows me since I do a lot of short trips that my gym trips of around 10 miles is enough to charge the battery. Both were free with bikes? HA Like you, I think $80 is a little steep, but I sure think it's better.
