Ok...here it is. LaBriola jockey shift on a 2008 Road King. Took a few hours and a few bleeding knuckles, but its in and I love it! The learning curve is still in full swing but after a few adjustments to the clutch cable and the placement of the clutch pedal its smooth as butter. Cant wait to put some real miles on in the spring! The only thing left to do is replace the clamp on the left handle bar to remove the clutch lever perch. Any suggestions on where I can get a blank half clamp for 1.25" bars? Thanks in advance.
On your style of bike I think I would of gone with the tank mount version.
But where all different....Looks good and there fun to ride.
In the old days I had them on all of my bikes....
Pretty Cool setup there. I used to run a 5spd jockey shift on my old 91 softail. Loved it. Am even thinking of maybe trying it on the streetglide but havent had time to really look into it.
I guess I kind'a get it as "old skool kool" But I'd never go back to a suicide clutch setup like that. It wasn't really kool in the old days, just the cheap way out when the rocker failed and ya didn't have the cash for a mousetrap.
If there was a decent kit that had the original style rocker foot clutch and a shifter that rode along the tank I would do it. Little too dangerous not being able to put the left foot down at a stop and reaching under your *** to shift. Although it is rather cool.
