Default 2014 Clearview Windshields (Awesome)

Just what I was waiting for. Someone with the proper design.

I ordered in Dark Gray. Will update when it arrives next Tuesday and I can

give a review (weather permitting).

You can read the following blog:

http://www.clearviewshields.com/blog...ement-designs/

They also state they will be bringing the new improvements to the 1996-2013 models

E-MAIL RECEIVED FROM CLEARVIEW

They look very nice, might have to try the 17" in light smoke or clear for those longer trips and weekend runs!

Don't know about the Clearview -- but I am really happy with Long Ride Shields -- I have them on my 2000 EG and my 09 EG -- the 09 has the one meant for riding 2 up and my wife really noticed the difference

Wow and I just put a 10" LRS on and I think it looks hideously large on the batwing!

Question

For a guy that is 6'5", a taller shield is almost a requirement. I'm going out to take some measurements and then planning a purchase. I don't want to go too high but I also don't want to go too low. Either way, I'm back at the money tree doing it again until it's right.

When LRS sells, for example, a 10" shield, is that the total height of the shield (including what is hidden) or just what is visible?

The 17in that he's talking about is not the height of the windshield.

The 3 sizes are measured from the off switch vertically to the top of the shield.

The 17inch is about a 1/4 inch taller than the original.

That's equal to about 1/4" taller than the original shield that
comes on a limited. LOL....I think some are not understanding
the Clearview measurements.
They measure the height on the 2014 different because of the design.

They are thinking that you are considering a 17" from the top of the fairing
LOL

waiting to hear how the shield works out for you. I like the idea of the lower sloping shape of the shield which is what high end convertibles ( mercedes/lexus) use on their windshields to protect the driver from wind buffeting.
What size are you going to buy?

I ordered the medium (dark grey) .

It should be about the same height as the original shield
that is on the ultra limited.
