Default Another Stabil question

Is it safe to add Sta-bil to the tank and still take the bike out for ride if the weather permits it in the winter months? Sometimes the bike will sit for one or two months and other months I can be riding every week. TIA

Yeah dont see a problem with it just make sure you refill your tank up to the tip top with gas and add stabil back in it for how ever much gas you spent and put back in .

Yeah, it mixes with the gas as soon as you pour it in. Of course, if you use any amount you have to think about adding more Sta-Bil if you get more gas.

The whole idea for Stabil is to keep the gas good for long periods of time and the directions do say to run the engine long enough to get the treated gas into the cylinders. It doesn't affect combustion. I run Stabil treated gas exclusively through my lawnmower, snowthrower and chain saws all year long.

Sea Foam is a better product but I use Sta-Bil more often due to the built in measuring cap. It's real value is in keeping carb jets and passage ways from gumming up than actually stabilizing the fuel.

That said I am more diligent in treating my carb'd powersports I have than the FI ones.
