Default Time for new front tire...over 30k on EIII

Well the old EIII lasted long but it's time to let it go... Lost track of how many mile i put on it but it was on there before my cam swap and that was at 50000 and now at 82000...
Found "New Old Stock" Avon Venom X MT80B16 for $79.00 shipped...I have had bad luck witht he rear Avon Venom X but never tried the front...Hell for $79.00 you can't beat that with a stick....Might even do wheel bearings this time... Figure with that many miles it might ber time....

I still have the stock Dunlop on the front with 21000 miles. Replaced rear with E3 at 15000 miles. Will replace front with E3 probably at 25K. If you got 30K out of front E3, why are you not sticking with that tire? Price I guess?

$79.00 shipped... i found a used EIII for $70.00 but i feel better with a new tyre...Cheapest EIII was like $130.. or sumtin like that.
As for the rear i have a Commander II on right now... I will either use that again or go to a Austone Taxi tire next...

I'm a great fan of Avon tyres and have used several Venoms. If you buy one check their website for pressures, as they are higher than for stock tyres. That may be why you had problems with the earlier one.

He is indeed! Dunlop in particular make very long life tyres, while other brands like Avon concentrate on other characteristics.

If i can get half the miles out of this Venom X for $79.00 i will be happy. I know it's a good Brand and the next time i will got with what will be the best value.........If it's a EIII it will be that...I shop for deals...As long as it's a decent brand and tire i put it on...I even have bought used take offs and have had great luck with them. I am not just stuck on one brand.

You will be happy with the AVON I have run them on many bikes for the past 20 years and love the grip and feel but the mileage is not their strong point.
