Default Pulling battery 2013 limited

I am winterizing my 2013 ultra limited for the 1st time. I usually pull the battery and put it on a trickle charger for the winter. Is there anything special I need to do before removing battery? It has factory alarm.

Ignition on.... pull the main fuse..... then pull the battery.

Why not use a battery tender and leave the battery on the bike?

Agreed, just leave the battery in the bike and run the tender.

If you have pwere where your bike is stored, a tender will do just the ticket! My three are all wired up as I write. You may even find your bike has the wiring installed already, which is increasingly common.

Personally, I'd leave it in the bike and hook up a battery tender for its long winter nap.
No real reason to remove it and you keep the electronics alive.
