2014 Compensator

Got it repaired
I was getting my 15,000 service and a different tech drove my bike back for service and said "Do you know you're compensator is not right"... I said yeah, I've been saying that since I bought the bike and posted on HD Forum about it in January. Anyhow, all the "helpful" riders who offered their opinions ranging from "He must mean the clutch", "He must mean sideways travel", He must not understand the compensator function", etc etc. Well the tech had to change out the bolt and retorque it ti specs' because it was a 1/2 turn loose and had slop in it. As I posted before in January and people said "there's no way you can feel a 1/2 -3/4 out of turn".... I have proof and am vindicated. If you drive something long enough you know when something "isn't right" I've been riding since 1969.... Peace

Keep in mind that an 05 and a 2014 are two totally different bikes. Gear ratios are different, HP different, compensator different, IDS, frame, etc. They are not going to feel and act the same. What one bike loved, the other might hate and vice versa. I don't think anything is wrong, just different.
