Oil Filter replacement

Oil Filter replacement
I have a 2014 SGS. When I changed the oil the first time I couldn't get a wrench on the end of the filter to tighten it. With the addition of the oil cooler it moves the filter location closer to the crank sensor. I have a "Harley" wrench that goes on the end of the filter with the window cut out the allow access around the crank sensor. It will not work. Had to go buy a K&N filter with the nut on the end. I never had an issue with my 07 Ultra 80,000 miles or my wifes sportster 50,000 miles. But first oil change on the new bike stumped me. any ideas or advice??

slide tin foil under old filter, channeled to catch pan.
using a phillips head screwdriver and hammer, whack a hole in the end of the filter, down low. another up high.
go do something while it drains
come back and use the screwdriver to whack a hole into the side of the filter and turn it off.
easy
fast
clean
the more oil you can catch and contain and recycle, the better. tossing a full filter into the trash is not great
