I went to a dealer, and asked for a quote to put 14's on my RK, and they showed me a customer's bike just like yours (same bars too), and told me....."it took us 15 hours to do those, so you're looking at about $1500.00 in labor alone to start".

They look GOOD !!! I want to go with 14's but every time I talk to someone with them they all say, "I want to go higher, I wish I went with the 20's".

15 hours ??? I never did a set of apes before and just from the info I got off the forum I did my bars in about 4 1/2 hrs.

Here's a suggestion: Ask your "Stealer's " Service Manager what the flat rate guide pays him to swap out a set of CVO Ultra bars with internal wiring if they were bent and under warranty? Have him look it up and share his findings with you....I bet its like 2 hours.

That said I'd ask if his mechanics are really that incompetent that it would take them 13 hours more to run wires through a set of taller bars maybe you should be looking elsewhere for all your work....

No doubting what they quoted just their justification for charging such a ridiculous price. Locally they've charged 4 hours twice now on two different bikes both w/abs. One bike got a set of 14' Yaffe Monkey Bars and the other got a set of 16" Vindikta's.

I also did a set of Chubby wo578's on the wife's bike (2004 SEEG) awhile back took me 4 hours the first time, could probably do it again in 2.5 hours since now I've learned all the tricks to disassembling & reassembling everything.
