Default Anyone use liners for saddle bags?

I was able to pick up a set of hard bags for my RKC on the cheap and want to put in some liners. I'm not wanting to piece and glue together some of the sets I see on eBay as I'm guessing small stuff would end up in the cracks and under the glued in liner pieces. I've seen some stitched "one piece" jobs that are velcroed near the lid and then there is always the zip up and carry type that function like a duffle bag, but retail the saddle bag shape. Have any of ya'll used any of these and would you use them if you had to do all over again?

And how is it this fourm doesn't know the word "ya'll"?!

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Yep. Got the H-D bag liners that zip. Love 'em! I leave them in all the time plus they are great for hauling groceries in the house.

That is true! I didn't think about food. The ability to pack them as bags and carry them full of liquor or clothes into a hotel room would be nice after a long day's ride. I know someone who had a rubber grommet in the bottom of one saddle bag and used it as an ice chest. Sounds crazy but it was absolute genius when it was 100 degrees out and he popped that lid open.

I got the HD Deluxe Saddlebag Liners when I bought the bike. They have a rear pocket and internal pouches which are handy for storing stuff.

I didn't know they had pockets inside them. That is a perk. Those with the lid organizers (tools, phone, cell, pig sticker, etc) may be the perfect set up. I hope that the hard bags will go right on in place of the leather ones. I may not ever put the hard leathers back on!

I bought mine off ebay and love them and yes they are great for groceries, and great for hauling your gear in a hotel or your rest stop...Open the hard bags, take them out and wahlah your on your way....And the using one of your bags for an ice chest works good to on hot days....

Yeah, the HD Deluxe Saddle Bag Liners are zippered, made of denier nylon and have carry straps. The liners are shaped like the interior of the bag.

The dealer gave me a one-time, "15% off the total purchase" deal, when I bought the bike, so I had my shopping list ready!

H-D Zip Up liners are great, Birthday gift years ago, just pull them out and carry like luggage.

With the zip out bags, do you find that you have to fumble with the zipper flaps when getting stuff in and out? Is it a hassle as they aren't as "open" as the saddle bag liners would be?

I'm not trying to be picky, but just narrow down the pros and cons.
