Just bought the S&S 551C cams, along with the S&S Power Tune Duals. My bike is a 13 Road Glide Ultra. Already have SPO slip ons and S&S A/C along with TTS MasterTune. Gonna get it Dyno'd at RC Cycles in Hayward. Looked closely at both Andrews and Woods Cams, but went with the 551C because all my S&S stuff has been so good. Right now bike is at 83 HP and 100 Torque. Looking for 100 HP and bigger torque with the cams and header pipe. By the way, went with the non easy start 551's, due to having ACR.

S&S has sold a ton of 551's with the Easy Start option. I have had mine in for 20,000 miles and am very happy with them. They refer to it as their "Touring Cam" because it generates power in the 2000-4000 rpm band which is exactly where we old men like to ride. It still puts out power after 4000 rpm but not as aggressively. 2700 rpm at 70 mph is perfect for touring. If you need to zip up to 80 mph you still have plenty of power left.

I'm seriously considering the 551 easy start cams. Has anyone installed and tuned with a FP3, and how was the results?

I have a 2010 ultra 2 years ago I was doing a 103 upgrade I have v&h slip ons and at the time the old style fuel pack I called v&h and they recommended the 551 I went withe the easy starts due to lack of acr on the bike I also removed the cat from the head pipe I recently upgraded to the FP3 doto the fact that the old one failed (v&h did help with the price) picked my tune called v&h and they added the cams to the tune and it runs great it was running a little rich but two rides in auto tune now it's perfect low end power is great twisted the grip off the line just to see and 6200 rpm was instant.great programmer and great cams the easy start function works better than when it was a stock 96

If you guys want low end more than the 57 cams then you should have chosen the 48's from Andrews. Less cost than the S&S and a lot of bottom end. Another option if you have the 57 cams already and not satisfied with the low end install a 2-n-1, that will bring it up a lot.

I'm not necessarily stuck on more low end torque, but rather the easy start feature of these cams. Just tired of the hard starts while hot.

Or.... can have best of both worlds and advance the 57h cam 4 degrees with: Andrews Sprocket (+4 or -4 degree timing change) ...........Part# 216323

This sprocket will shift cam timing providing more low end torque with little sacrifice to hi end horse power.

I called Andrews when I originally was planning to install the 57's and was told they didn't think I would see any noticeable results.
