Default Extended bags / Fender without spending a fortune?

I want to do extended bags or possibly a bag/fender set. I look at big name sets, like Bad Dad and Sinister Industries, but they are pricey.

On ebay I've noticed some sellers have sets like these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Extended-S...vip=true&rt=nc

Which are considerably less money…

Does anyone know a good option?

Sometimes cheap stuff needs a lot more prep work to make it look right and ready for paint. I would have to talk to someone that bought those before I did.

I figured as much, the link was just an example. There are other listings that are prepped for a few more bucks, I'm just asking around to see if there's other options I haven't though of.

You can plan the project in stages. I did bags & side covers, then front end, and then(now) rear fender. It can be quite expensive, but most who can do the prep/body work themselves or have friends in the field have good luck with the ebay type products.

I went with Baddad, and my painter loves it.

There's a stretched fender for sale in the touring parts classifieds on this site right now... Check it out.

Talk to a few painters and see what they like and recommend. Probably the best bags I have seen are Topshop. The worse products Sinister (Customer Service really didn't help that opinion).

I have built a few with Yaffe and Ness products. High dollar but prep time was very little.

I've been keeping my eye out as well and it seems many members are happy with the eastern performance bags. I've been eyeing there painted vivid black cvo style for a while.

hd_rolling is right...Eastern Performance bags are sweet! I debated for weeks between the gamble of EP bags or the HD set...I just could not overlook the $500.00+ difference! Got my EP bags and took them to my painter...he was impressed with the quality and fit of the bags from the git-go...they were not perfect, per se, but required very little to make them look as good as any stretched bag on the market!

Skip those eBay bags...get the Eastern Performance set for $350.00 and be done with it!
