I'd think again. I should have. Take the lid off and use your stock rods. You'll thank me.

Use the S&S quickees. Less hassle.

As strong as solids? No, I would think not. Strong enough for most of us here? Yes. I'd say that unless you have a very high HP build with non-stock valve springs, you'd be well served by the quickees.

Default Problems with adjustable push rods

Yes I did. I had a 2008 UC that I bought new. At around 12K miles (out of warranty) I had a lifter go bad. I bought new lifters and SE adjustable pushrods. I installed them and torqued the jamb nuts per spec. I had two of the four jamb nuts to break IN HALF. fortunately the broken halves did not go down into the case. They layed at the top of the lifter. I replaced these on the side of the road. I went to Lowes and got some grade 8 nuts and put them on. I was getting some tapping in the tubes. I went with Andrews and they were fine. I put Locktite on them and had 2K miles on them. We rode to Key West, no problem. Our next ride took us through Savannah, GA, then to Charleston, SC. Just there, it was HOT and traffic was stop and go. It was so hot the Locktite gave up and the jamb nuts backed off. I called a rollback and he took us to Low Country HD in North Charleston. Those guys treated me like a king. The shop was busy and the shop manager took my bike in and repaired it himself. They charged me less than the tow truck. They are the greatest. In summary, yes I had trouble with adjustable pushrods. I don't personally recommend them. It would have been trouble free and much less expensive if I had taken the lids off and used my original push rods. Just my $0.02 worth.
