Default Runs On One Cylinder,,,,,,,for awhile!

My '95 Super Glide starts on one cylinder (front) when cold and after less than a minute, the rear cylinder catches up, reluctantly. I am suspecting a coil but have never had one fail thru over 30 bikes and many 4wheelers. Once warm, it runs fine. I know it needs timing because the timing plate behind the nose cone was loose and vibrated to full retard before I found it. Set it back where it appeared to be for the time being . I've checked the coil and wires with meter and check ok. Can a HD run if the plug wires are switched at the coil ? I just like riding this bike around town and short trips since it has no W/S,,,,,,prefer the Ultra on open road. Love my Sirius! THX

I had a Sportster 1200 do the same thing years ago. After racking the brain and wasting money on new plugs, wires and coil we found a bad intake seal on the rear cylinder. Replaced both seals and ran fine.

I dont think it's a coil, usually the coil fails after it warms up and expands.

I just replaced the intake seals. It was really popping and backfiring alot. I retimed it yesterday and it seamed to start fine. I'm so used to the start and go Ultra. New machines make us stupid and lazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!
