Default Compensator on 2014 Street Glide

Does anyone know the torque value and procedure for the compensator bolt on the 2014 models? I'm doing a chrome inner primary cover install and the value isn't in the instruction sheet that came with the cover.

I am asking here because I ordered a new service manual and it hasn't come in yet...I have a manual from an older Street Glide but I know there is a new bolt in the 2014. Any help is appreciated

The book says T-70 drive.....tighten to 100 ft-lbs. back out 1/2 turn tighten to 175 ft-lbs.
No mention of locktite at all on the compensator. Page 5.7 in the manual.

Normally, Red Loctite is used here.

Twincam beat me to it...

Yeah they mention it for the clutch hub nut but nothing for the compensator bolt. I wonder if the concern is getting the locktite on the stack up components of the new system or if 175 ft.-lbs. is tightness enough?

I think if it isn't mentioned, I will go without the loctite...Harley manuals are usually pretty good in that regard

Thanks a bunch...can't wait to get my new manual...

I noticed there is no lock nut on the clutch pack, I assume because of the hydraulic actuator....can you give me the procedure for removing the clutch please. If anyone has the removal instructions and can email them to me I would greatly appreciate it...now that I have the outer cover off I really don't want to reinstall and wait for my service manual to get here. Thanks

Not sure about the new one, but when I put the SE Comp in last summer, the bolt had the red loctite already on it.

You said you were doing a chrome inner primary " cover" install. You don't have to go into the primary, much less fool with the compensator, simply to install a chrome primary cover.

Well, apparently I used the wrong word. I am doing a chrome inner primary "housing" install. I realize that to put a simple cover over the existing one does not require tearing apart a big chunk of the engine, transmission assembly.
