Default Fuel filter and in tank fuel lines

Hey guys. I am planning on changing my fuel filter soon and am debating what to do about the internal lines. I was thinking about changing both to the Gates submersible rubber lines because they seem more durable, and would like to minimize the chance of developing pinholes. But then I thought I read somewhere (which I can't find now) that Harley had shortened the convoluted hoses on the new replacement kits to eliminate the rubbing issue. Thing is, I would not pay Harley prices for their kits. I would likely go with parts from Drag, #0707-0011 (filter, clamps, and hose) and T03-0084 (check valve, and hose). Does anyone know specifically if these hoses from Drag are an appropriate shorter length to eliminate the rubbing that was a common problem on the original parts? This is for an 04 Road King . Thanks.

I used Drag's filter kit in my 07 RK and the internal fuel line was shorter than the stock one. Must be why it's 1/2 the price. LOL.
