So, after spending most of the day yestetday trying to get my battery to turn the engine over, I think I may need a new battery. My trickle charger turns green saying its done a full charge but each time I try to start her, she does the classic dead battery clicking sound.

My two year warranty is up in June. Dealer is closed today. Anyone know if warranty will cover a new battery?

 

...and if you didn't know, that "clicking" or :"chattering" will damage the solenoid.

so you can fix that if you keep going. ( and even with a new battery, a damaged solenoid will leave you stranded)

here is what needs to be done.

take the battery out, put it on a battery charger ( not a tender or trickle), charge overnight
take the battery to autozone and load test it

while the battery is out check that your cables are tight and clean at both ends. if you see corrosion ( white/green powder) on cables, replace them
