Default Air Cleaner Mod

Anyone on here modify the stock backplate on the air cleaner on their bikes for better air flow? All the stage 1 intakes seem to just have a modified backplate and highflow filter. If you have post up some pics.

the Evo and TC air cleaner up to 13 can be attacked with a hole saw...drill a bunch of holes in the circumference of the plastic plate.
OUTSIDE the filtered area.

most hi flow air cleaners incorporate a velocity stack, that small air horn makes a huge difference in flow numbers.
so you wouldn;t have that..but you'd have higher than stock flow, and probably about as much air as the motor can demand

Build your own or if you want to use stock cover then cut down back like mine in pick. Ran on my 08 like that for years.

I have xpipe, gutted muffs (fullsac cores), & filter mod so can't say filter mod is why I have power gain.
I can tell you HD's are lean to begin with so if you start tinkering and I personally think period you need to map\tune bike IMO.
