We have a place here called batter warehouse and I go there. I can get a cheap *** $53.00 and it lasted me the three and half years I had the bike with ZERO issues. As soon as this bike needs one I will get another one can't go wrong for $53.00 I don't care that is not a maintenance free.

These being on backorder is a good thing stopped by local dist. for EAST PENN to pick up a EXT30L was told they where also on Backorder as they where making a new batch of batteries. This will mean when they are aval. by end of march these are all new built bats that have not been sitting on a shelf for the last few years. Sweet

Deka makes battery's for Harley's or so I,ve been told.
Get a decent charger for it, the one Harley makes are junk and from what one of their own techs told me, they aren't as smart a charger as HD would have us all believe.

Deka is the OEM manufacturer of the HD batteries and can be gotten from Amazon and many other online sources for $99 /free shipping
Many say the HD batteries suck, My original lasted 6 yrs and all I do to store it in winter is put it in garage on a cheap trickle charger.

Default Going to try it

Of course I thought my bike was starting different and made a mental note to get the battery replaced soon. Had original and was just a little over 5 years old. Well went to start this evening and yep, just not enough to crank it over. No ride tonight. Did some searches and lots of helpful info here. Big crank ordered. Hard to beat $.

i just ordered the MEGA CRANK 420 CCA from them (89$). 2 years ago i replaced my original HD just cause it was 6 yrs old. with the big crank. Maybe I should have charged it fully when i got it or its my bike or I dont know defective? but over the last two years from day one it seemed to struggle if bike left a day or two unriden, just felt strange unlike the HD battery could sit longer no struggle. With cold starts(winter) around the corner I dont want to miss any days of riding.

so may want to charge it anyway even though they say fulley charged, im still on the fence on 2amp or 6 amp charger...
