Nope you can unplug it. If you want to use the auto tune or the gauges displayed on your phone then you will need to leave it installed.

You can disconnect it, unless your doing auto tune or using your phone to monitor values while riding.

Won't work on your bike. It is for Canbus bikes. 14 and newer for Touring...

Rode about 80 miles today and she ran great. There was no back firing, throttle response was immediate.

If you are in the fence about this product don't be.

Good to hear, I will be installing mine tomorrow and if the weather holds out, riding it in the auto tune mode.

So did you use a canned map or auto tune, if you used a canned map was it a match to what you have or similar to your setup ???
I have noticed all the maps are based off of pipes and slipons, no mention of high flow intakes .

According to the rep I spoke with at Vance & Hines all maps are based on having a high flow air filter. If you did not have a high flow air filter you would just run auto tune.

I kinda figured that, just curious, I still have not used mine so I don't really know all the options available. And besides why create maps just for pipes, so I can see why they do not have a A/C option. Lots of positive feedback on this unit, Rain today so I will wait till another day. Really don't want to run auto tune in stop and go traffic riding to work. But still might get it all connected today...
