Default What is the best SOUNDING cam?

For all of you that love that loping sound. What is the best sounding cam at idle in a 103 dual exhaust?

Head Quarters 575 Gear drive: sounds like a Pro Stock Car below 3K on startup.

S&S 583 in a 96" with V&H Bog Shots sounds pretty good.

Now that the cam is running in an S&S 106 with high flow everything it sounds even better.

I'm debating on whether I need to replace the pipe.

You'll never get that potato potato sound of the old shovelhead/evo motors on a twin cam no matter what cams you install. They used dual fire ignition whereas we have single fire, so it's a lot smoother. Joe

The SE-204 is a great cam and has a real good sound.

I had a Woods TW6-6. Sounds badass. Lots of lope. Same results you'll get with a TW6H. In fact, I wish I had that instead of my TW-555 in my Road Glide.

I got rid of my youtube account with my videos, but here's another bike with the same cams. They sounded nasty with a Thunderheader in my bike.

If you can have a good sounding cam that performs, why not?

My 555's sound stock, it kind of sucks actually. I love the lope of some cams.

My TW6-6 had more lope than the TW-9B in my 106" Dyna. And the TW6-6 performed great in my 96" Street Glide. The SG didn't pull like my 103 Road Glide, but I think displacement has a lot to do with it.
