Keep blowing the Acc fuse

RE: Keep blowing the Acc fuse
Another thing you can do;
Instead of putting in fuses, take a 12 volt light socket and bulb and put a couple of male spade ends on it. Plug it in where the fuse goes. If you have a load on the circuit, the light will be on. The light will also limit the current to that circuit so you won't start a fire. Now start unplugging all the things on that circuit untill the light goes out.
Did you say Draggin Baggers? Wasn't there a thread about the wires under the rear fender getting shredded from the rear tire?
And why is it that things are always in the last place you look for them?

Not trying to be a smart a$$ but.
Or an I told you so.
But most problems are usually something easy went wrong.
Look at trouble shooting flow charts. They start with easiest and most likley
and go down to the hardest.
In your case I would presume pulling the fairing was more of a bitch than
pulling the seat and checking the rear fender harness as I suggested earlier.
But I guess we all live and learn and we can all learn something new.
But glad you did find it.
Haven't had the rubbing issue on my bikes (01 fltri, 01flhtci,01flhrpi,06flhtci)
But i am watching it. Might do what you did, locate it outside the fender.
Or an I told you so.

The flow of trouble shooting is exaclty what went on. took the seat off looked for aux wires if they were in the circuit. next most common problem pinched cables in the controls which their was pinched wires from the factory on three SGs I have laid my hands on. So i figured that was the proble and removed the fairing to eliminate them out of the harness along with the cig lighter.
all the problems i listed are easy and common problems.. you pick where you start at.
