I was going to put on Commander II's, but they were in short supply just prior to Sturgis so I read up and opted for the Elites. 10,000 miles later and they have ended up being good tires. I'll probably stay with them next go around. Ridden through pouring rain to fast and hard twisties. My confidence is only shaken by an occasional unseen tar snake in the corners. But even here, they seem solid enough. They really show no wear yet, but I have not measured the tread depth. I washed the bike Sunday after a long and bug ridden ride and I looked at the tires then and felt they still have deep grooves.
beware of tubes from drag specialties,I've had 2 flats from defective tubes. and to the tire novice your wheel is 3.5-16 not 5.5-16. i now get my tubed from honda much better tube and has a really nice long 90 on the valve stem.
Just put a set of Americn Eagles on my CUSE2 and it is a very positive feeling of being glued to the ground. If they end up lasting like many have said this will be my tire of choice going forward. I did install a 150/80-16 on the stock rear wheel without modifications and no rubbing.

Big - the tube size I quoted was taken off of the invoice from the dealer that installed my tires. Could they have used the wrong tube - or is the invoice just wrong.
Also, when you had defective tubes how long did it take before they gave out?
Appreciate your help.
