I personally think a cable pull is easier than the hydraulic version.

I did not like the hydraulic clutch on my SESG. It cramped up my hand in traffic.

I appreciate the comments so far. I don't think there is a problem with a clutch although I will ask the dealer when I take it in for the 1k. I have small hands which probably doesn't help. After sitting in stop and go traffic, my hand was raw. There is a pressure point that still feels bruised today. Perhaps I just need to build up the strength but I never had this issue before.

Do a search for "Clutch Wiz" It works!!!!! I put on a 480 lb spring (stronger than the Screamin' Eagle spring) and the Clutch Wiz on my Tri Glide, and the lever pull was LESS than stock! Not sure if it works on the hydraulic clutch but you can ask.

There is no cable to change.

So yes, it operates similar to your front brake line and master cylinder.

There may be something wrong with your clutch mechanism. My sig bike gives me no problem at all in stop and go traffic, and is markedly easier to pull than my last bike was (`09 Dyna SG, a cable clutch). That being said, I always put the bike in neutral when stopped for a long time at a light after the vehicle behind me was fully stopped.

the Hydraulic clutch is the unit in question here.

the clutch wiz unit reduces clamping force on the clutch assembly, similar to simply swapping to a lighter spring.
so slip is more possible.

mike,

from what i've read, the clutchwiz does work with the hydraulic clutch but you need to add the stronger spring or it will slip.

thinking of this myself, my hyd clutch is harder to pull than the cable clutch on my 2010, though i did have the aim vp92t installed after doing the 107 kit.

I agree the fluid clutch is harder to pull. Less maintenance but less friction zone. Seems like its either engaged or disengaged. Takes some getting used to.
