I'm a new owner and been looking into this too. For what its worth, I've seen prominent among the favorites, in no particular order:

Amsoil
Red Line
Syn-3
Mobil 1

There's lots of interesting stuff to read on the appropriate sections of this site and others and googling the brands themselves will get you to the spin as to why each producer feels their brand is so great. I'm pretty sure they all work. What it comes right down to is whose product yarn hooks you best. I've been a "Red Line" man for weeks now and proud of it .

Oh look honey!!! An oil thread. And he asked for the best one TOO !!!!! Wow! I guess that we haven't had one of them in....what? 3 or 4 minuets? USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION BEFORE THE POST FUNCTION...Please?? Maybe we won't make such fun of you then.

Pretty sure someone here has tried that. Since it's more along the lines of dino oil, it wasn't up to specs. And it smells like azz.

Wow, no love here! But then again, if I had no life and lived on these forums, then I would probably be sick and tired of oil threads too. To the OP, I recommend synthetic 20W50... any brand will do!

Being a Chef, I only use Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

I've been using synthetic oils for years in all my bikes and autos. When I went to the dealer for my 1000K service on my new '14 they asked what type of oil. I asked their opinion and they said that they recommend just the HD regular. He said it's been around for a long long time.

I use Mobil 1 15/50 in the motor and formula plus I the primary and tranny.
