Default Clutch cable pinched when wheel in locked position, help reroute!

I was painting my inner fairing and when reassembling I noticed the clutch cable was pinched and the rubber is starting to come off cable. Any pictures as to how the cable is run and where it goes up through the fairing? Thank you

I thought I had some pics but you can't see the cable in them. The pics are from my service manual 2013.

They are just a bitch to get to set well. Lots of resistance on the cable. I don't think that there is a perfect place for them to lay. Lots of bends and turns behind the fairing. Mine wore the gromet where it passes through the inner fairing.....snip

Make sure the cable is on the left side of the neck and goes over top of the crash bar

Mine starts on the right, crosses over to the left and stays on the outside(towards front of bike) of the crash bar, then in through the triple trees.

kept mine on the right side going up the frame, past the brake lines into the fairing making a turn to the left all the way around to the left side of the radio and back out to the lever. I was changing bars when I did this, so, I was changing cables also. But I'm pretty sure it's about the same either way.

Default Pinched Cable

I had the same thing happen. I have a 13 SG. If you following the service manual when you run it through the inner fairing in needs to run between the radio and fairing support. It then comes down the left side of the neck. I ran mine through the main harness clamp. I do not have any issues with it being pinched anymore.

Just noticed this on mine after installing my new bars. Thinking about either going into the fairing on the ride side or leaving it left but pushing it up between the lower triple and the chrome front cover thing.
