I agree, I think it is very doable and I am in no hurry.
What are your thoughts on older years? 90s,80s, even 70s?

Just thought I update this post:
I did buy a very nice 2005 Road King Classic with 40k miles for $6,800.
Yes, I will inspect the cam chain tensioners and many other things. Bike does run and drive very well though.

Default what I bought......

I got a one owner, all records, 2000 RK with a 95ci Stage 2 big bore kit, 22k miles for $8200 and couldn't be happier. Yeah its 14 years old, but you couldn't tell by looking at it!
