every time I install new ones I am surprised by the toning down of vibrations felt.

Think about the abuse those little cheap bastards suffer !! Lots of heat and constant vibrations, o wonder they break down so fast. Good thing Mother does not charge too much for them.

Well, my one cent was not enough as it still squeaked a little on the way home. I attribute it to warmer weather in the afternoon than the early morning when I go to work. I'm going to give my second cent a chance now and see what shakes. I'll report back again tomorrow and hopefully it fixes it.

WD 40 works for a short time and makes a mess. I replace the right side twice a year and carry spares. Two bucks each is a cheap fix. I split my pipe right at the Y and I think that grommet was the cause.
As soon as the squeak starts I change it right away.

So if it starts squeaking again, you'll put in another two pennys to take up that slack also? That could get expensive in a few hundred years!!

I've used a very good quality zip tie.

Well we'll see what happens tomorrow. Put in a second penny. The left bag I could not even get a penny in as the mount was still super tight. So Dawg, any experience with the high priced goodies?

I got tired of replacing the rubber pieces and a few months later they would start squeaking again. I finally took a metal hose clamp and cinched it down tight around the grommet. No more squeak,no vibration and it's been like that for going on two years now.
