I never said it smells BAD....I said it smells like cowshit Smells like money! Don't know about Post....but if you ever get the chance to ride through a little town called Cactus Tx North of Amarillo between Dumas and Stratfod....there's a tannery in that little town that smells horrible!

I am notoriously suspect of all gas gauges - especially the new ones which are based on current fuel consumption not what is actually left in the tank

Granted I am a little paranoid but comfortable with that at 2/3 empty I start looking for gas and I have not gone to a full E or want to find out

OP well done and lucky you made it

I'm actually going to ride down to Dallas when I get home from this deployment for a pistol instructor cert class in June. I might skirt around on 287 (small county highway) or I might go down and hit I40 over to Oklahoma City then down to Dallas. Haven't decided yet.

How'd you like the cowshit smell in Amarillo and Lubbock? Pretty nice huh?
287 is not a bad ride, that's how we went to Amarillo. If you are not in a hurry, you can take 199 and 281 out of Wichita Falls. It's a bit slower with more small cities to go through.

Yep, lots of cowshit and then head further south and get all the nice smells from the natural gas wells.

We are actually in NE Fort Worth. Shoot me a PM when you are headed down, if you have time, we can go for a short ride around Eagle Mountain.

That is the only cooling the pump needs - it doesn't need a gas bath. Just don't run it dry.

And fortunately, most gas stations have bathrooms - and some are even somewhat clean!

One of the perks of having a pecker is you do not have to sit to **** and if it is nasty shoot from a distance in safety.
