You're a big guy,if you ride 2 up or pack a lot of stuff, you may want to lower your gearing.

A lot of talk and discussions on cams and which one is correct for the power you are trying to achieve. After much research and reading here on this blog I have come to this conclusion; If you want more power at certain times......down shift. The results are the same.

Sorry, missed the RG part. Then there isn't a SE cam I'd recommend without at least a compression bump. Andrews 57 is my "go to" in stock/stage 1 '09-'13 103.

If folks don't know how to downshift they shouldn't be riding? Power is still the same, no matter what gear ya are in? Only way to get get more power is a little "hot rodding"!!!!

The 255s that worked great in your 96(I had the same thing) have just a touch too much ccp for your 103, there's other Harley cams that would be better suited to your app.

It actually was a stage II 103 build on my 2009 cam, clutch upgrade and stage 1 pipes and air

I do see what people are saying about the 204's they come on just a little later in RPM but then come on harder and fall off about the same as the 255's hmmm...

Duh...wish I'd though of that. Would have saved me a bunch of $$. WTF??? Love the cams discussion, almost as much as oil. Get lots of BS and folklore.

I jumped in to putting 255s in my bike without doing a lot of research..... I asked the dealer that did my 255s about the woods 555..... He told they "had too much lift for the stock springs and it would give me trouble down the road" ...... I laughed a couple months ago when I seen the lift of the 555 is .555" and the lift of the 255's are .556" - just sad.

I went with Andrews 48H this winter in my 12 Limited. Only been out a couple times but love the difference they made for me.

If your sticking with a SE cam then go with the 204's. I had them in my 2010 SG for 27,000 trouble free miles and the bike ran great. 90hp and 102tq from a 96" engine. I recently upgraded my build but the guy who bought my 204's installed them into his brothers bike and they did 89hp and 100tq. The 204 is a solid producing cam !
