When selecting CAMs, it is important to be realistic/honest about your riding style and requirements. For my case, I have a big heavy bike that is mostly ridden 2up. So, with 1,500 pounds I was looking for more low end grunt. I rarely run above 4,000 RPMs. So, the SE 255 Cams seemed like a good choice, and I have be every pleased with the torque they give me where I needed it. But, the one downside is extra heat...but the FCS fans seemed to have addressed that.

I want/have to stay with harley cams because I have an extended warranty and will have them do it before 60 days from purchase is up - so they will be covered too.

Looking at the screaming eagle cams Im wondering about the 259 too. It looks like it comes on a little later than the 255 and stays on for higher RPM's

Im a big guy 290 lbs and I liked the torque from the 255's
If you like the 255s, you would love the TW222s. I had the 255s and swapped them for 222s. Night and day. Way better TQ at every RPM and where the 255s fall off soon after 4000 rpms, the 222s keep pulling. Call the boys at FM and tell them about your riding style, riding weight, etc. They will steer you in the right direction. There are much better options that the 255s.

Don't overlook the Andrews 54H, one of the best cams for the 103", tune is always important. Andrews is still recommending them for the 2014 103' Cool Glide.

255s are a great "grunt" cam. excellent bottom end. The trick with these is getting a proper tune to get the heat out.

don't know anything about the 259 but do know the 254e is an excellent choice as well for low end that pulls further to the right..

Doesn't putting cams in the bike without doing other components make it harder on the valve train and much more wear over stock?

I ran the SE255 cams for 9K on my 2011 RKC, put the TW222 cams in. No heat issues like I had with the SE cams, no pinging either.
