you still could have been cheap and waited a few days to save 27%.

I liked my adjustable Mustang backrest because it was so easy to pop out when I wanted to ride without it. Hmm....i can't remember the last time I popped it out other than when removing the seat for maintenance.

Been riding with a driver's backrest for 20 years. Don't leave home without it. Huge difference, especially after back surgery!

Actually you can, requires a little fab work though.

I put a Mustang back rest on my FLHTK last year. Money well spent!

I installed the Kuryakyn adjustable passenger backrest, flips down to become a solo backrest as well.

You didn't do it before because you didn't wanna look like an old fuddy duddy, lol. That's what held me back....but the comfort, oh boy. Go with adjustable if you have a choice....I adjust mine a few times on long rides.

I went with a Mustang solo and adjustable (via a thumbscrew in the mount arm) and haven't looked back. WORLDS of difference on both long trips and my 1-hour commute to work. And I'd consider the adjustable - I screw mine in and out a few times on longer trips - just adds to the comfort, IMO.
