Had them on my bike from a previous owner, when they worked they worked well. They died because they weren't rated dust or waterproof. Whichever cooling fans you decide to get make sure at minimum they're rated IP55, IP68 would be best.

IP ratings explained; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code

Hi sullyj020,

Since any opinion I have about Love Jugs, and their performance regarding cooling ability would be biased, I invite you to go to our web site and make your own determination. I am not trying to sell you on our product, that's not my department, I am just putting the facts out there and correcting misinformation. Anyone nowadays can sit in front of a computer and say whatever they want whether their comments are factual or fabricated. I feel that it is my responsibility to present the facts when untruths are written about Love Jugs. Case in point....a poster stated on this thread that Love Jugs were neither dust proof or waterproof. Love Jugs was until very recently, the only manufacturer that supplied IP68 rated motors, we have done that from day one. That is the highest rating possible, and the proof of that can be found on our website for you to see for yourself. I think the video of Love Jugs running underwater will impress you as well as correcting the replying poster's statement that "Love Jugs were neither dust proof or waterproof" We take great pride in the performance and the quality of our all "Stainless Steel" Love Jugs product.

Thank you for your interest in our product.

Always at your service,

Dave

I will second that. I have them installed on both my Ultras. Work very well and Jason has by far the best customer service.

Do they have to be that huge? The Wards are way smaller and supposedly just as efficient? Tons of members here have them.

Nice to have two choices.

Believe they both work pretty well.

Some think you do not need either.

Lots of forum information on search.
