Question Sidecar

Asked this on the sidecar forum, not much activity there...

Thinking about a sidecar. Had a few trikes, but always missed my 2 wheels. Thinking a sidecar would allow me the best of both worlds. Side car for wife and dog, remove for my 2 wheel fix.
I have a 2013 Ultra Classic, do they still make mounts for a sidecar? I know HD doesn't make cars anymore.
What would be a good alternative to HD, California Sidecar? Champion?

Never rode a motorcycle with a car, never rode in one either.

Thanks for all responses and help.

I was going through similar having learned on servi, sidecar combos then solos when I was a teen.
I also rode a VL w sidecar for a bit about 25 years ago.

I have an 09, and not long ago found an 09 for sale with HD sidecar.
I found a .pdf ( J04690.pdf ) of the sidecar installation instructions and in the end decided to pass, 'cause what I really wanted was both worlds and swapping back and forth would not be quick or easy.

for less cash I could buy a used goldwing 1500 with sidecar and leave my 09 as a solo bike.

Not a fast back and forth switch , riding with the sidecar on is a totally different experience, and it takes a little practice to get it down. any major brand of sidecars work well , but setting up the bike for it and making it handle right is a bit tedious.

I have neveridden a bike with . a sidecar. In talking with those who have one, it is a job to out the car on and off. I would consider it as a permanent fixture if you got one. That may change your mind.
