My classic bagger apes ran tall too. I went with the 12's and they measured tall as well (roughly 14ish). but that gave me some room to rotate them back toward me some.

I just installed a set of the yaffe 10", they are closer to 12" bars like others have said. They are 35" wide and stock was closer to 31". Took less then two hours start to finish on my 14, didn't have to extend anything also I didn't have to remove the radio I just tilted the whole fairing out of the way. The mirrors are useless to me now but I'm also 6'4".

Now it makes sense...you didn't internally wire! That's where I spent alot of my time. I take back the showoff comment. Although I was kidding then too. Just hating it took me much longer.

I had the shop put on my 14s (not yaffe) and at 5'11 I love em.

Question, I was looking at 10s for a while before I went up in size. 10s so I could save othe cables. But the shop told me (a)-its best to just go higher for comfort and (b)- stock cables will work with 10s, but when you turn the bars completely to the left or right when your trying to do something like park, the cables may not reach completely and cause problems..

Anyone have (B) happen?

I'm internally wired and only had issues with clutch cable. It won't reach thru factory location and has to be rerouted. Well that and I had to tilt master down just a bit to get it to work.
