RF BRT300 and polk speaker questions. HELP!
I have been reading about the BRT300 amps and the polk audio MM651 speakers and I have some questions.
1. For now I am just doing the faring speakers but I plan to do lid speakers latter. Should I get the 4 channel amp so I can use the other 2 channels latter or is it better to have 2-2 channel amps? Obviously the 4 channel is cheaper.
2. Do the Polk speakers work well with this amp? I am concerned about the impedance.
3. I have heard talk of wrapping the speakers with polyfill. How is this achieved?
Thanks so much!

First off, the Polk mm651's work well for the 1st 10 minutes and then they blow up. Don't buy them unless you like to remove your outer fairing to replace speakers. ( the audio section is full of horror stories on these speakers and I speak (pun intended) from experience also).Buy a four channel amp and use two channels until you decide to add a couple of more speakers. Spend the extra money and buy Biketronics 7.1's and you won't have any regrets. Check out the audio section for other ideas and tips.

Do not get the BRT300 amp. It is not stable under 4 ohms and makes crazy heat. The PBR300 2 channel is a good amp and stable to 2 ohms. Polk had a bad run of MM651 a while back, mine have been rocking hard for over a year but many were bad nearly out of the box. A good set of polks will rock with a PBR, but biketronics 7.1s are the current hot setup. Do check out the audio section.

Heat issues were with early models.
PBR300x4 is only 4 ohm stable... there for 4 ohm speakers are required.
Kicker makes a few nice 4 ohm speakers... CS674 & CS654.
I like my Rockford Fosgate T1652's but I don't need ear drum shattering sound...
Over a year on my T1652's and my PBR300x4... just added the Hogtunes lids and T1692's all running nicely off my 300x4...
No overheating, no cutting out, no issues!

Here's what I have and love:
Biketronics 7.1 in the fairing;
BIketronics 6.5 in the lowers;
Both powered by PBR 300x2
Pioneer TSD 6902R (6x9) in the saddlebag lids (powered by PBR 300x2)
Sony head unit.
This is the same setup that a lot of guys in the audio section uses and it rocks. Best upgrade I made so far...
