Default Frustrated to say the least...Codes P1511 & P2135

A little history first

New to me this year 2012 FLHX with 7500 miles on the odometer. (Approx 4500 of those are mine this year so far)

Rode to Americade with a buddy and on the way home the bike went into limp mode. Codes checked and P2138 (Twist Grip Sensor) is showing as the issue. Long story short we McGuyvered it to get me home with slivers of zip ties. Bought a CVO Twist Grip Sensor, installed it and the bike runs again like new.

A couple of weeks have passed with several day rides in excess of 250 miles each with no issues whatsoever. Bike ran strong, responsive and problem free.

Yesterday the bike goes into Limp mode again (luckily close to home) limp home and pull the codes P1511 (Throttle actuator control power management failure of throttle control actuator) & P2135 (TPS Correlation Error)

I do the requisite research and clean the Throttle Body harness, dialectric grease the terminals and reassemble. After reassmebly I check the bike and it wont start - cough sputter sputter - still in limp mode?
I did the same clean/grease procedure with the main harness to the ECM and after reassembly the bike is back running strong with no codes. ???????

Rode about 50 miles close to home this morning no problem. ???????

Get back to working on building the deck all afternoon and then get ready for my 12 hr back shift this evening - dont trust the black temptress in the driveway but eff it lets find out - sure enough within a couple of blocks LIMP Mode again.

I do notice about 5 - 10 secs before limp mode kicks in the bikes idle drops reaaly low ( 800 or so ) and acts like its gonna stall then gets strong and bang - limp mode.

I've read the bulletin TT418A and realize this could be the issue/solution but ive yet to read anyone else with a model year as late as mine with the issue. Most with this experience were on 08/09/10

Any and all comments, suggestions, like experiences are more than welcome

do you have any mods done to your bike?

the correlation error suggest that the 2 signals from the throttle to the ECM are not adding up to 100%...
at 20% throttle, there sound be a 2nd signal saying "80% no throttle"... at 1/2 throttle 2 signal 50% + and 50% -....
the ecm needs to see 2 signals that add up to 100.

you may have to go over your work with the TPS replacement.
if you have some kinda tuner it could be interrupting the signal from the throttle control acuator

try running without the fuelpak.

as you no doubt know sensor and actuator voltages are 5 volts or less and a slight mount of resistance can cause problems.

a piggy back tuner doubles the number of connections.

without the fuel pak, teh bike should run fairly well- and enough for you to rule it out.

if really worried, you could get some xieds- that's what I use for my stage 1 motor.

Fuelpak disconnected, bike didn't run as smooth and within a couple of minutes dropped back into limp mode. I guess that eliminates the problem being the fuelpak or it's connection.

Any other ideas?

Had similar issues with my 2011 SG when still under warranty. Turned out to be a broken wire going into the throttle body.
You could try flexing those wires by hand while running, to see if the problem comes and goes.

Check the connection at the throttle body. See if any of the wires are corroded inside the connector.

Well I checked and rechecked everything I could think of and that was suggested. I finally decided to bypass the Deutsch connecter at the end of the TGS sensor. I cut the wires and soldered the connections after rechecking the legend I made myself about a dozen times. All good now, no more stumbling/racing idle and thankfully no more limp mode (fingers crossed)

Thanks for the help and suggestions
