Default Removing fine scratches from chrome ?

Ideas ? I removed the warning sticker from the top of my stock air cleaner and now it has some fine scratches from my fingernail. Any way to polish out the scratches ?

any quality Chrome POLISH should do the trick but I'd wonder about the quality of the chrome if it's been marked by your fingernail

An old detailing trick I have used for years is to take a piece of aluminium foil, add chrome polish to it to remove scratches, rust, etc. Try it first in a spot that's not visible.

With your fingernail?

Are you a reporter for a metropolitan newspaper, like phone booths, leap tall buildings in a single bound, and how is Lois Lane in the sack?

Chrome polish. If you use a machine, careful now, don't burn it.

I did the same thing yesterday to my stock air cleaner cover on a 2005 ultra classic. iwas shocked when i noticed the scratches from my finger nail i thought i was being careful. Chrome polish did nothing by hand tried mothers and neverdull. will try buffer next.

It is my experience that once chrome is scratched it is there for good.
