Default Andrews 57H in a CVO 110

Im looking at doing a cam swap in my CVO 110 and was looking at the Andrews 57H as well as the Woods 222 from Fuel Moto. Has anyone had any experience with the Andrews 57 cam? Bike is a 2013 SE Ultra. Upgrades include FM 2-1-2 ceramic header, Rush Big Luey Mufflers, KN filter on SE AC, and a PV tuner. I ride 2 up most of the time. We do long runs across the country loaded down with a small uni-go trailer and then hit the mountains for the twisties with out the trailer and minimal gear on the bike. I don't hot rod the bike but am looking for some good roll on power when needed. I ride in the 2500-3000 rpm range most of the time.
Thanks in advance.

I'm happy with mine. The only two negatives are a ton of intake flutter and with the lower cylinder pressure it takes some time to get going if you poke the throttle in 6th at say 65mph. Otherwise it's a great cam that makes very good power, maintains decent fuel economy, really quiets the motor down (compared to the 255), and runs much cooler.

I read your posts and liked what I saw but wasn't going to go as far as you did. Just looking at doing the cams. I don't know if just doing these cams is an option without additional work. I didn't want to do a new intake or remove the jugs to put in different gaskets. Im hoping to find guys that have just did the cams and their thoughts about it. Thanks for the reply.

Have it in my 2012 RG, like it alot. Good power, pulls strong throughout...dyno numhers were 96 hp/112 torque.

I've been very pleased with mine. This winter I plan to have the heads worked over and a new throttle body. Best part of the entire upgrade was dumping the junky stock lifters. Much better peace of mind with the S&S Premium lifters installed.

Did you speak with FuelMoto? My gut tells me that there would not be a huge difference going from the 255. Are you doing the work yourself? Seems like a lot of coin for what could be a little gain.

Get a good tuner and see a good dyno man. Way cheaper and most likely a bigger bang than a cam swap that will need to be tuned anyway. I like the TTS Mastertune but choose what you like. Hope this helps.

I think you will be happy with the Andrews 57 cams as a bolt on items including the other parts you mentioned!

I have the Andrews 54H cams with no .030 head gasket change, and I am so far very happy with my ride. (57's weren't out then)

From my under understanding, you don't really need to change the head gasket. But, I'm sure it won't hurt it either.

I agree with 05train and RedBeard, you will be happy as a pig in mud with that cam!

It's a mild cam, NOT a wild cam. Not too mention, I just don't trust going crazy without getting the bottom end Built, weld, trued and balanced.

Lots of good cams out there, it's just finding the right cam for your riding style. Lots of good talk about GMR, TMAN, KUR. TC24, etc.

Andrews cams have been making cams for years, and they make a lot of the cams for other companies out there too. Not too mention, they aren't the most expensive one either.

Lastly, I am a big fan of the TTS Mastertune Turner. They are getting ready to come out with their newest version turner which "green" in color vs the old "blue" one. They are now taking pre-orders and will be ready to sell in the next couple of weeks.

God luck,

YB

Is it enjoyable to ride in town? How is it on de-acceleration on a twisty mountain road?
