Default TPMS and Valve Stems

2010 Ultra Limited and the valve stems are driving me crazy. My old gauge/bleeder broke, bought a new one and it won't fit the stems. Not sure the head on it is assembled correctly. Playing with it to see if I can get it to work but it won't fit on my bike or truck's valve stems.

So I'm thinking about sticking on Garmin screw on TPMS and need to switch to metal valve stems. The selection has me confused. Has anyone done this and if so what valve stems did you use?

I've search the forums but haven't really seen an answer. Need to make sure whatever I switch to everything will clear.

I have the Garmin TPMS mounted on stock tubed RKC wheels, no problems here.
Despite tubes, the stems are metal.
Not sure if this helps, just my 02.
BTW - are you sure the end of your hose is not Presta? I bicycle a lot, and my pumps are reversible. Presta is smaller, Euro style. As you know, our HDs and vehicles are Schrader, US style.

Supposed to be Schrader. Reading the reviews it seems a lot of people had the same problem after they redesigned the chuck. I didn't see where it was reversable.

I sent it back today and ordered a new one. Still trying to figure out the valve stem issue.

Lots has been written about this. There seem to be 2 solutions. 1. Buy a cheap bicycle pump with a 90 degree clamp on Schroeder end. cut the hose to a convenient length and rig a second Schroeder valve into the cut end. Carry it with you.
2. Install angle valve stems. Most folks wait until the next tire change but if you have recent tires do it when you want.
